Candy Cane Soap Box

 How to make the Candy Cane Soap Box

Gather all of your materials. For this project you will need:

1 piece of Whisper White Cardstock (100730)

1 piece of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock (119685)

3 pieces of Tis the Season DSP (153489) (1 piece of candy cane, 1 piece of red and 1 piece of plaid)

Largest rectangular die in Stitched so sweetly (151690)

3rd largest rectangle ion Rectangle stitched Dies (148551)

12 inches of Red ribbon (153535)

Tear and Tape (138995)

Multipurpose glue (110755)


Directions:

1.     Cut whisper white cardstock to 6 ¾ to 9 3/8 inches.

2.     Score on long side at 1 3/8, 4, 5 3/8, 8 inches

3.     Score on short side at 1 3/8 and 5 3/8 inches

4.     Cut scalloped rectangle onto candy cane DSP.

5.     Cut 2 pieces of red DSP at 3 7/8 X 1 ¼ inches.

6.     Cut 2 pieces of red DSP at 2 1/2 X 1 ¼ inches.

7.     Cut 2 pieces of plaid DSP at 3 7/8 X 1/2 inch.

8.     Cut 2 pieces of plaid DSP at 2 ½ X ½ inch.

9.     Cut 2 cherry cobbler rectangle stitched pieces.

Box assembly

1.     Cut and notch box to score line on both of the long sides.





2.     Adhere DSP pieces to the 4 outer sides that will be seen when the box is closed.





3.     Glue flaps to make box bottom and box top.

4.     Adhere ribbon around candy cane paper. Adhere Candy cane paper to top of Cherry cobbler stitched rectangle.

5.     Use tear and tape on perimeter of top of box. Apply cherry cobbler piece. Repeat on the bottom
